MultiTech announces the availability of new MultiConnect® Cell 100 Series USB cellular modems. These "modem only" USB models ship without antennas and a power supply, reducing customer costs and enabling improved return on investment.
The MultiConnect Cell 100 Series is part of MultiTech's comprehensive portfolio of cellular connectivity products optimized for M2M (machine-to-machine) communications. Easy to install and configure through AT commands, the MultiConnect Cell is ideal for failover, out-of-band management or primary internet connection over cellular. The MultiConnect Cell (MTC-xx series) connects an intelligent appliance via a Serial RS232 or USB interface.
The MultiConnect Cell is a compact communications platform family that provides 2G, 3G and now 4G-LTE cellular capabilities for fixed and mobile applications. It has been deployed and real world tested around the globe for use in settings such as:
