The Micronas HAL15XY is a multipurpose device to address all automotive applications. It fulfills the latest quality and functional safety standards as it is AEC-Q100 qualified and ISO 26262 compliant. The HAL15XY is the successor to the popular HAL5xy sensor which has been the standard for more than 19yrs in quality and reliability.

Table describes the replacement matrix of the current Hall switch family HAL 5xy and the new Hall switch family HAL 15xy.

 

HAL 15xy is an optimal product solution for the following cases (Applications)

Features The HAL 15xy family consists of different Hall switches produced in CMOS technology. All sensors include a temperature-compensated Hall plate with active offset compensation, a comparator, and an output stage. The family consists of 3-wire and 2-wire devices, the corresponding output stage being an open-drain output transistor and a current source respectively.

Robust EMC performances, corresponding to different standards, such as ISO 7637, ISO 16750, IEC 61967, ISO 11452 and ISO 62132 

Operates from 2.7 V to 24 V supply voltage 

Magnetic characteristics are robust regarding mechanical stress effects 

Highest ESD performance of ±8 kV 

Power-on self test toggles the output 

Overvoltage protection capability up to 40 V 

Constant switching points over a wide supply voltage and temperature range
