[VIDEO] How To Deal With The Verizon CDMA Network Sunset

Back in September Verizon announced the sunset of their CDMA (2G and 3G cellular) networks. While this may be a concern if you have a device using this network don't sweat it, we've got you covered.

Here's the important info you need to know about the Verizon announcement:

• Shut down date for Verizon''s CDMA network: December 31, 2019
• Equipment includes: 1xRTT-only, 1xEVDO-only, both 1xRTT and 1xEVDO, and/or any combination of 1xRTT and 1xEVDO with other radio access technologies not including LTE
• Verizon will stop accepting new OD CDMA-only equipment for certification post December 31, 2016
• CDMA-only equipment currently registered in device certification shall continue through the process
• All CDMA-certified equipment will have an expiration date of December 31, 2019 or 3 years from the date of certification whichever is reached sooner
• Maintenance releases submitted for certified CDMA equipment post December 31, 2016 will have an expiration date of December 31, 2019
