Hirschmann Solutions Iridium Transceiver Antenna System

Symmetry Electronics has expanded its wireless offerings to now include satellite antennas and customized M2M solutions from Hirschmann Solutions, including the newly released magnetic and adhesive mount plug-and-play Iridium Transceiver Antenna System (ITAS), which utilizes Iridium’s 66 Low Earth Orbiting satellites to provide impeccable service around the globe.

Having all your communication needs plug-and-play ready is the leading idea behind the Iridium Transceiver Antenna System. The ITAS already has the Iridium 9602 SBD, the Iridium antenna, serial data interface, and the power regulation circuit on-board, covering the entire RF and modem integration. A M12/8 connector interfaces to the customer hardware. Mobile Originated (MOSBD) and Mobile Terminated (MT-SBD) messages can be sent via Iridium Short Burst Data (SBD). The elimination of RF cable loss leads to higher network performance since there is no RF cable routing outside of the ITAS unit.
