TDK Corporation (TSE 6762) presents at Sensor+Test 2018 the full range of sensor products at one single booth to take another step towards its vision to become the worldwide number one provider of sensor solutions. For the first time, TDK shows its complete sensor product range comprising magnetic sensors, motion and sound sensor solutions, and temperature and pressure sensors for automotive, industrial, aeronautics, security, and medical markets at one single booth in Europe. TDK will present its sensor solutions from June 26 to 28, 2018, at the Sensor+Test exhibition in Nuremberg, Germany, at booth 204 in hall 1.

Product highlights include:

Micronas magnetic sensors and embedded motor controllers: The recently announced redundant Micronas HAR 379x sensors for multidimensional magnetic field measurements in safety-critical automotive applications according to ISO 26262 rules and industrial applications come with a digital output: besides pulse-width modulation (PWM) output, the SENT protocol according to the latest generation of SAEJ2716 (rev. 4) is also supported. HAR 379x sensors use TDK-Micronas’ proprietary 3D HAL® technology for detecting angles in a range between 0° and 360° as well as linear movement or position. The HAR 379x sensors' versatile programming characteristics and its high accuracy make the HAR 379x the perfect system solution for gear selector applications – especially because of the possibility to provide the magnetic field amplitude in combination with the angle information. Both parameters are made available via the fast channel of the SENT interface. Additionally, the magnetic field amplitude information enables the required push-functionality. The device fits perfectly into applications where linear movements have to be measured, e.g. in dual-clutch transmission applications, for clutch pedal position detection, as engine stroke sensor, for transmission position measurement, or for cylinder and valve position sensing.

EPCOS Temperature Sensors & Elements: The new EPCOS H650 sensor element is designed for measuring temperatures up to 650 °C and is based on a glass-encapsulated high-temperature ceramic sensor element that is connected to a metallized aluminum oxide rod with silver pads for contacting. The NTC sensor element offers high-precision measurement with a temperature tolerance of about ±1 K at 200 °C.

EPCOS Pressure Sensors: High performance and long-term stable pressure sensing elements are designed for pressure ranges of 100 mbar up to 40 bar. The dies are available with sizes of 0.65 mm x 0.65 mm up to 2.00 mm x 2.00 mm. The automotive market benefits from dies with optional specific features e.g. gold bond pads for high temperatures resistance up to 165 °C and high corrosion resistance.

Motion and sound sensor solutions by InvenSense: InvenSense’s solutions combine MEMS (micro electrical mechanical systems) sensors, such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, compasses, and microphones with proprietary algorithms and firmware that intelligently process, synthesize, and calibrate the output of sensors, maximizing performance and accuracy. InvenSense’s motion tracking, audio and location platforms, and services can be found in mobile, wearables, smart home, industrial, automotive, and IoT products. At Sensors+Test, InvenSense will showcase new capacitive pressure sensor solutions, analog and digital MEMS microphone solutions, and 6-axis (gyroscope and accelerometer) technologies.

Tronics High Performance MEMS Accelerometer: Resulting from Tronics’ recognized expertise in the field of high performance inertial sensors, the new AXO215 product combines all key benefits on a single chip in terms of size, weight and power. The entire closed-loop accelerometer is manufactured, packaged, and calibrated in-house.

TDK TMR Angle Sensor: The new TAD2140 sensor guarantees an accuracy of angle error of ±0.2° achieving the industry’s highest accuracy for angle error of only ±0.05° at room temperature. Thanks to its small package size, the sensor is perfectly suited for applications with limited available space, such as steering motor commutation.
