BlueRiver 2.0 Chipsets

Offering interoperability with each other and other installed bases of SDVoE™ products, Semtech’s BlueRiver chipsets share a common SDVoE API that enables features based on endpoint capability. AVP1000

Semtech’s AVP1000 BlueRiver AVP ASIC chipset is a cost-effective transport solution for the switching and extension solution of audio, video, and control signals over standard Ethernet networks. The AVP1000 is a transceiver chip that supplies the power of Ethernet to traditional AV signal distribution as a single programmable system on chip (SoC). With a convenient network of transmitters and receivers, the AVP1000 is capable of replacing traditional AV/KVM extenders, matrix switches, video wall controllers, and windowing processors.

AVP1000 Key Features:

  • Enables switching and extension of audio, video, and control signals over standard Ethernet networks
  • Compatible with a full range of formats, including 4K60RGB/4:4:4, HDR, 3G, and broadcast-friendly 4K60 10-bit 4:2:2

AVP2000 and AVP2000T

Capable of transport and processing, Semtech’s BlueRiver AVP2000 & AVP2000T feature benefits like image scaling and multiview. The largest distintion between the two chipsets is that the AVP2000T can be configured bi-directionally, whereas the AVP2000 is solely a transceiver chip. The AVP2000T can actively receive and transmit simultaneously. However, the AVP2000 & AVP2000T can both extend the capabilities of the AVP1000. For instance, an AVP1000 transmitter is able to display video signal with scaling, seamless switching, or as a video wall when an AVP2000 receiver is incorporated.

The full-featured BlueRiver AVP2000 & AVP2000T both include the BlueRiver AV processor for in-line pixel processing and a 1GbE interface with a 10G – 1G switch. Additionally, the chipsets both enable true data networking with an AV network and eliminate the need for equipment redundancy.

AVP2000 and AVP2000T Key Features:

BlueRiver 2.0 Evaluation Kits

Two comprehensive evaluation solutions are available for BlueRiver 2.0 products. The RDK-AVP2000T-C2TR and the RDK-AVP2000T-F2TR packages are designed for the evaluation and development of the AVP2000T. The RDK-AVP2000T-C2TR provides an endpoint with copper interface, whereas the RDK-AP2000T-F2TR supplies an endpoint with fiber interface. The standard AVP2000T RDK package includes:

  • Two AVP2000T transceiver devices or one transmitter device with one receiver device configured to customer requirements
  • Two power supplies 12 VDC with locking DC connector
  • Two 10G SFP+ multi-mode optical transceivers (Fiber Evaluation kits)
