With the growth of IoT and M2M technologies, Cellular IoT will play an important role for connecting billions of devices requiring low power consumption, low data-rates, long range and low cost features.

Cellular Iot (LTE CATM1\NBIoT) are designed to serve a wide range of vertical industries and applications such as utilities, agriculture, manufacturing, wearables and transport. In these environments, the huge numbers of connected devices can only be supported if communications are efficient and power costs low.

Data transfer rates of LPWAN are very low, as is the power consumption of connected devices. LPWAN enables connectivity for devices networks that require less bandwidth than what the standard home equipment provides. Therefore, networks can also support more devices over a larger coverage area than consumer mobile technologies. Furthermore, LPWANs can operate at a lower cost, with greater power efficiency.
