Modular Connectors / Ethernet Connectors

A modular connector is an affordable electrical connector used for phone systems, data networks, and low-speed serial connections. Specifically, these connectors are employed in signal and data transmission between internet-capable devices or to deliver power to connected Power over Ethernet-enabled devices. Modular connectors have a tab that locks the plug and jack easily into place, a characteristic that has led the industry to call these “RJ connectors.”

An Ethernet connector carries broadband signals between modems, routers, computers, servers and other wired internet-capable devices.
