Thermistors

A thermistor is a resistor that can change its resistance in response to a change in ambient temperature caused by heat generated by applied voltage or current. The word “thermistor” is a combination of “thermal” and “resistor.” Used for measurement and control in circuits, thermistors are categorized by their conduction model. Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) thermistors have less resistance at higher temperatures, and Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) thermistors have more resistance at higher temperatures.

Symmetry carries thermistors from Murata, an industry-leading manufacturer whose portfolio accommodates various characteristics and shapes for smartphones, wearable devices, automotive equipment, and myriad electronic devices.
