Telit enters into supply agreements with Positron and MetaSystem

Telit Communications, a wireless communications developer and distributor, has entered into supply agreements with Positron, a brand of PST Electronics, and MetaSystem, which is engaged in the research, development and production of electronic security systems for the automotive sector.

Under the terms of the agreement with Positron, Telit will be its exclusive provider of wireless modules in Brazil. The devices will be used on the Positron GSM trackers line, developed to equip vehicles. The GE-864-QUAD Automotive is the latest module produced by Telit in Brazil and it has specific characteristics to cater specifically to the automotive market, said Telit.

MetaSystem has chosen Telit's modules for its MetaSat RC06 MBK telematics device. The GE863-SIM module from Telit was chosen in view of its affinity for integrating an SIM chip, a feature that markedly increases the device's robustness, according to Telit.

Oozi Cats, CEO of Telit Communications, said: "These agreements demonstrate Telit's recognition in the global m2m market. Positron and MetaSystem are major suppliers of m2m products in their respective territories and we are very pleased that they have chosen Telit as their supplier. We look forward to long and mutually beneficial relationships with both esteemed companies."
